Blue Capricorn – “Mr. Fraternal Twin”
Combining inspiration from a culmination of mellow, jazzy, and modern artists, love of music, and pride for his Hispanic heritage, Blue Capricorn released his 5 song EP in August – a collection he began work on almost two years prior. Blue Capricorn crafts an eerie mood on Mr. Fraternal twin, with deep piano chords that lay the foundation for his chilling vocals to demand your attention at any point. - The Dentonite

Bio
Blue Capricorn is the solo project of Latinx and Dallas-based multi-instrumentalist and singer Rodrigo Caraballo-Marin.
Originally from Orange County, CA and residing in Dallas, TX, Rodrigo started the Blue Capricorn project in 2018 after having been exposed to music such as indie, jazz, big band, folk, electronic, lo-fi, hip-hop, and experimental. Growing up, his family introduced him to music and he started playing piano at 9 years old, and then learned percussion and keyboards at 14. As he dove into writing music, Rodrigo was interested in being diverse. Not just with one genre, but with various. Finding inflence in artists such as James Blake, King Krule, Mount Kimbie, The xx, Frank Sinatra, Nicolas Jaar, Massive Attack, Portishead, M83, Bon Iver, and Tame Impala, Rodrigo experiments with stitching together multiple genres to make one body of work working with genres such as jazz, electronic, indie, experiemental, and lo-fi. His music covers themes about relationships, imagination, and evolution as a human being.
His first EP 'This Must be a Haze' released in August 2018, and explored genres such as experimental, lo-fi, jazz, and electronic.
His new EP 'It's Cold, Yet Warm' is out now.
