Born from the remains of former BodyCount guitarist D-Rock The Executioner‘s band Pitch Blaack, coining the brand Ghetto Metal – co-founders Sackraphyce and Brimstone re-emerged with an aggressive new unit that speaks their truth through high intensity metal and well versed public vocality. The group is known as Blaxmyth, and they are on top of their game.
With fans drawing similarities to the performance style of Rage Against The Machine, the more unique stage presence of the band hails likeness to the sound of artists like the aforementioned Rage, along with Slayer, Ice-T and his band BodyCount. What attendees were witness to at the Whisky A Go-Go was an intimate view of a show that reproduces on festival stages as large as the CMJ Music Convention. Blaxmyth is as big as a band from LA can get, without selling out to a label. Does independent promotion translate to a wider audience one might ask? At the Whisky, Blaxmyth won over an audience warming the stage for hard rock guitar legend Uli Jon Roth, proving beyond a doubt, that song is relatable when written as a song, regardless of the style it’s performed in. If you want to see the floor of a venue connect with the band on stage – take in a Blaxmyth show. You will be impressed.

BLAXMYTH, an American band emerging from the underground scene of Los Angeles. They are the hybrid offspring band from Pitch Blaack formed by the late, great Dennis "D-Roc the Executioner" Miles a rhythm guitarist from the legendary group Bodycount. D-Roc had an unexpected end and passed away from Lymphoma in 2004 Inspired by the legacy he passed
on, Sackraphyce and Brmstone founded BLAXMYTH and has since reloaded with new members adding a phenomenal female vocalist in Nayah Brielle, drummer, Cort, MAD Mike, on lead guitar and Kupa on Bass. While competing and being featured on Fuse TV's Bodog Battle of the Bands for a full season BLAXMYTH beat out over 7000 bands nationwide, and finished runner up, which proved to be a very controversial decision. BLAXMYTH toured with ten of the best bands they competed against. They've played the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame twice, traveled internationally
performing and sharing the stage with the likes of Linkin Park, Body Count, Papa Roach, DMX, and HR of Bad Brains. BLAXMYTH took a hiatus and has since re-emerged once again as a powerhouse in these tumultuous times. They deliver brilliant music with hypnotic waves of sound firmly rooted in soulful metal, Hip Hop and the punk/hardcore aesthetic. They rely heavily on energy, raw emotion and a timeless, searing lyrical commentary to present to you "Ghetto Metal" The band is currently recording their full-length record named "The Evolution of Revolution"
which is sure to be one of the biggest, hard hitting mixes in the genre according to vocalist Brmstone. “It’s heavy, catchy, melodic, and will have you singing every chorus after the first time you hear it.” Armed with an infectious sound and a well proven track record of hitting
