Bio
BJ performs regularly on the guitar, saxophone, bass, mandolin, and didgeridoo in addition to adding vocals to most songs. Whether solo acoustic, with jazz trio, or full electric band "Soul Stew," every live experience is unique, passionate, and energetic. He has shared the stage with the likes of Karl Denson, Perpetual Groove, and John Popper. Callahan is also a prolific composer, arranger, and teaches music for a living. He and his family have recently relocated to the beautiful Upstate of South Carolina where he continues to share the joy and passion of creating and teaching music, in addition to managing their small organic family farm "Callywood Farms" which produces Eggs, Chickens, Pigs, and vegetables.
