The Bigdumbhick is Jeff Wall, a 6'7", 330lb, bib-overall wearing, acoustic singer, songwriter, storyteller, from the Piedmont Triad Region of North Carolina. With a background in Bluegrass and Honky-Tonk music, he is endowed with a sardonic wit and a strong right hand. His music, which has sometimes been described as “humor with a groove”, will have an audience in tears from laughter one minute, and then he will come at them with a deeply intimate tune, one that reveals that soft, vulnerable part that we all try so hard to keep hidden with humor.
He’s most certainly big, but he’s not dumb at all. The hick part is open to interpretation.
