Beyond Misconception

Beyond Misconception is an American experimental Nu-hardcore band from Fort Walton Beach, Florida Started in September of 2021 by High school friends Dillan Brainerd (drums), and Austin Bussman (Guitarist).

Vocalist Mitch Sellers, guitarist Chris Semidey, and bassist Zach Renzi then Joined the band after meeting Austin at a local shows.

The common goal amongst the band was to revive the local hardcore scene, and to prove that hardcore can still be relevant in 2022. Once The lineup was settled, work began on writing, booking shows, and making connections. The band played their first major show with Atlanta based deathcore band Left to Suffer on April 21st, 2022. Beyond Misconception was immediately recognized to have a high energy set with everything from fast Djenty riffs, Two steps and slow, heavy breakdowns.

After this first show, they hit the studio to work on their first single titled "Beneath," releasing on June 12th, 2022 

Since that release, the band has played numerous local shows across the panhandle of Florida, and a music festival in Brunswick, Georgia. Below is a list of some notable performances the band has played.

Current plans for 2023 consist of Touring the US, and releasing singles leading up to their first EP in May titled "Audible Silence"
