Bio
My style comes from a mixture of old american roots music. Everything from old gospel, to blues and country. I learned my picking style from bands like Taj Mahal, Blind Willie Johnson, Chet Atkins, Luther Perkins, Pop Staples, and Reverend Horton Heat.
What sets me apart from other bands is that I do all of my own guitar work. There are not a lot of females out there that play the styles that I do. I specialize in slide guitar and fingerpicking styles. I also play at church and my church specializes in the old sacred steel guitar traditions. (old African-American tradition where lapsteel is the lead instrument. It originated in Alabama in the early 1900's. I incorporate and cover a lot of these old gospel songs.
