"New wave Betti Boof"

When you think of a “Vybe” you can look at it as many definitions. Some may relate it to a feeling, some may look at it as a location, or some may see it as a point of destination. Charlotte, NC artist Betti Boof has put his own spin on what on it with new single properly titled “Vybe”.

Teaming up with producers Pilgrim & Kim J Betti Boof personally defines it as the “New Wave Emo Laid back party emo”. The Instrumental automatically puts you in a mood to take this journey with hard drums and base mixed with dope vocals.

Betti Boof is searching, looking and desperate for that “Vybe” while in party mode throughout the song. Picture yourself with the best smoke, best surroundings, official people and the only thing missing the right mood, that’s the “Vybe”.

Listen to “Vybe” off the official mixtape “If I Die, Will You Love Me” on Spinrilla - The Grynd Report

BETTI BOOF

AMERICAN RAPPER

Robert Christian Phillips better known by his stage name Betti Boof is an American rapper/singer and songwriter. Born and raised in Gastonia NC. He attended Ash Brook High school in Gastonia NC.

Growing up I had it rough, my parents split up so my dad was not around. Wh8ich left my mom to raise me and my sibling’s on her own, because my mom had to play both parents we grew up not having much. Which also lead me to getting bullied in school. I would get into fights almost every day with other kids just because I was so different. As far as my grades in school I was terrible. I used to get failing grades, my teachers would call my mom and tell her I need medication because I really paid attention in school. I went to school for the wrong reasons. It was more of a place to hang out and chill more than it was a place to learn. I was a rebel/outcast that had no respect for authority. I also suffered from depression and anxiety. I didn’t start making music till I was either 11 or 12 years old. My first performance was at a church and then shortly after that I stopped for a while and just tried to be a regular kid. I was for certain I would pick it back up and I did around age 15. I was staying with my dad for the summer. One day a voice spoke to me and told me to continue making music. After that day my entire life changed. It was like l had dedicated my entire life to music, if it wasn’t for me doing music I don’t think l would be here. I have been in situations where my life should have been taken, god has shown mercy on my life numerous of times. I have been homeless with no where to go and barely anything to eat. To keep up with my appearance and grooming I would take baths at pool houses. At the lowest point in my life I tried to kill myself because of me being homeless. I make music cause that is my purpose for living, also I have kids Im trying to live for and support, my main focus is doing this for them. I also want to my kids that no matter where you come from to can make it in life and follow your dreams. I love music and I want music to support my kids and love ones.

Boof.
