Bio
Ben started out on a strict diet of Woody Guthrie, Buddy Holly, and Elvis Presley. He deftly chose to use his bar mitzvah money to pay for his early instruments, including an acoustic guitar he still plays. Through the mentorship of Mitch Elrod, he came to see the ability to express one's self as the goal of music. He constantly writes lyrics and music, and is naturally drawn to any music that is soulful and direct. The best compliment he ever received was from a girl at a show who told him he made her feel like Jerry Garcia made her feel. Listeners say his music is country-folk-soul-blues.
