This is just one of those songs you know you’re gonna have on repeat for the next month straight 1:00 into the song. So far this year there’s been a few of those for us at WTB HQ, with “Sleepless” by Cazzette coming in at number 1 and Oliver Helden and Becky Hill’s “Gecko (Overdrive)” standing strong at number 2 (there is debate among this). There have been a few other’s that have come close, but none as close as VESTIGE’s remix of BABE’s debut track “Make It Real.” The remix gives it an entirely electronic disco-grooving robotic twist, basically turning it into a whole another track. One of the beauties of remixes, especially in cases like this, is that they introduce you to songs and bands you may have never heard of otherwise. As soon as we heard the remix, naturally we had to go listen to the original. It’s a good habit to get into when searching for new music and artists, and one we are extremely happy we did here because although the original is an entirely different genre, it’s is just as good on it’s own. Babe, who is very underground, got picked up Californian producer, Vestige. This remix though, reminds me of the Justice days where it was steady with knee shaking beats. God, I miss those days and this forced me to post.
