Bio
Jacob Shatto creates musical compositions and mixes, making his mark in Kansas City. Jacob studies Audio Engineering at Kansas City Kansas Community College, interns at 825 studios currently and also does marketing and sales for Crayton Corporation. Other recent occupations include concert promotion, Video, and graphic design.
Mr. Shatto is a multi-instrumentalist but focuses mainly on percussion, guitar, and piano. He has a backgroundprojects in mostly rock groups as a drummer but also doing hip hop. Also playing with the KCKCC Latin jazz band and competing nationally in the Heritage Music festival for choir during the high school. Some of the projects he’s been a part of more recently are groups like Project Zero, Those Two Guys, Avarice, Westport (Even Days Prior), and Zero Da Hero.
More recent projects include mixing and mastering the Me Like Bees Blind Covers episode and live sound for the KCKCC Jazz summit. He has worked with artists like Ecos y Viscous, POB, Your Robot Friends, Kid Choppa, Sumner Academy Orchestra and Kangaroo Knife Fight. Jacob also played a role in Malcolm Washington’s short action film Perfidy. Along with working on his debut hip hop album.
Jacob also is an aspired painter and filmmaker and has a very broad area of interests. Other things include martial arts, skateboarding, snowboarding, and astronomy, computer coding and automotive work. Like his father Benjamin Franklin Shatto III, he has become a teacher and a jack of all trades.
Jacob’s career has just begun and continues to grow. Music by Jacob can be found on soundcloud, reverbnation, facebook, youtube, and other social media platforms. This month Jacob is working as a session musician for two artists’ albums. Book him before it’s too late!
