Yesai

Yesai is bi-coastal existing between three corners of the United States Boston, MA, Topanga, CA and Sarasota, FL.

The members of YESAI are many and hailing from the musically rich city's of Boston MA and Los Angeles CA. All of the members have been active players in the U.S. music scene for many years spanning an eclectic mix of genres including rock, reggae, hiphop, punk, funk, latin, folk, metal, ska and blues. 

YESAI was founded by lead vocalist, Kevin Fraser in the winter of 2014. Kevin, who had recently returned from living off the grid for 3 years in the Hawaiian jungles of Puna had a fresh influence of Island and reggae music to compliment his previous 20 years of performing in rock and metal bands. As time went on the sound matured and evolved into the unique hybrid sound with bluesy soul and rock sensibility steeped in roots reggae guitar rhythms. Some performances include a tribal and latin influenced percussionist and some a singing female horn section.  Yesai often times leans towards extended improvised bridges and catchy 3 part harmony choruses when the moment presents itself. But also at times bringing on special guests including Kevin's cousin FRAZR member Ryan for some conscious hiphop/soul excursions.  Yesai is known to rotate players with additions and subtractions varying between a 3 piece acoustic setup to a nine piece full band configuration since the inception in early 2014. The past and present band members have collectively played thousands of shows playing for many popular bands in the reggae, rock and jamband scenes including The Elovators, Fear Nuttin Band, Fishbone members and many more. Yesai has rapidly caught attention from regional and national venues and have performed at premier venues like the House of Blues, The Paradise Rock Club, Lupo's, Brighton Music Hall, Ocean Mist with national touring band, Badfish, The Elovators, Roots of Creation as well as headlining gigs at the 26th and 27th Annual Hempstock Fest in Harmony Maine. Also festivals like Boston's Freedom Rally, Ziontific Fest in VT, Garden Grove Festival MA, 4 time Reggae on the Mountain performers in CA and support for well known bands Steel Pulse, Ziggy Marley, Toots and Maytals, John Brown's Body, New Kingston, Kabaka Pyramid, Matisyahu, Expanders, Tomorrow's Bad Seeds, Sly and Robbie, Katchafire, Ballyhoo, Roots of Creation, The Elovators, Mighty Mystic, Raging Fyah, Spiritual Rez, Giant Panda Guerrilla Dub Squad and many others.. They've held a summer long weekly residency at Hurricane O'reilly's in Boston.  Debut recording releasing June 2017. Collab single with The Chants in 2022 and new music releasing in July 2023. After more than 8 years of performing on both sides of the states the goal is to keep circuiting the markets regionally as well as regularly touring the west and east coasts and continue to grow the Yesai Tribe one show and release at a time.
