Bio
Started by Mike Rowan and Dave Wiese in June 2010, then joined by vocalist Dana Rose Ellis in August, the Milwaukee-based "Wisconsin Beef Commission" has grown in style and diversity. In autumn of 2012, the band released its debut album "Drankin' Songs" on Sealed Juvenile Records.
The Wisconsin Beef Commission has "taken country music down its own long dirt road", until it evolved into a sound the band calls "Beef".
"Cutting to the core of country-western, infusing it with power and fury until the sound tramples like a stampede. Serving it up, in the raw, with only bass and drums while still preserving the vocal foundation and harmony. Three singers on two instruments is a classic country-western recipe. That's what makes it Beef-worthy." -Michael Rowan, Drummer and Lead Vocalist.
