Willow Grove is a husband-and-wife country duo comprised of Christopher ("CJ") and Carlianne ("Carr") Pickett.
Carlianne grew up a "country girl" in the rural parts of Longview, Washington listening to Faith Hill, Shania Twain and Abba, while CJ grew up a "city boy" in the same area, listening to artists ranging from Johnny Cash and Kris Kristopherson to Dave Grohl and Bono. Threads of each weave together to form their own original "fabric," an elegant, country-rock genre that they like to call "Country Northwestern."
Carr's smooth, melodic vocals and CJ's gritty, smoke-laden vocals blend to create a sound reminiscent of Johnny Cash and June Carter that will grab the listener into the front seat and take them for a country ride via feel-good, bubblegum-flavored love songs, as well songs that strike close to the heart, about overcoming obstacles in life and dealing with adversities in relationships rather than giving up.
