Willie Wright

Willie Wright is a true verbal linguist.  Honing his skills through the art of spoken word at a very young age, Willie was using poetry as a form of communication long before he developed a love for Hip-Hop.  In fact, it wasn’t until middle school when he was really exposed to Hip-Hop music and the likes of Tupac, Nas and JayZ. By then he was dominating open mics across the city.  While he enjoyed the music, spoken word was still his first love. One of his more popular poems which helped secure his spot on a nationwide college poetry tour was actually titled, “Hip-Hop.” 

It wouldn’t be long before Hip-Hop chose Wright.  In college he began exploring his new love for music. He quickly learned what pleased a crowd by performing in front of a campus full of students.  He spent his years of higher education as Lincoln University’s official special guest at almost every school talent show, performance event or awards dinner. During the weekends he would perform at other colleges and universities across the country, growing a fan base and keen ability for giving students audiences what they wanted to hear.  

Developing his craft in New York City venues, he is now growing his talents in Madison, Wisconsin.  This is just the beginning of his career in music.  But the best is yet to come.
