Bio
Founded in early 2017 by guitarists Matt Morse and Jackson Redd, Willess is a rock and roll band hailing from Augusta, Georgia. Throughout their early songwriting processes, it became apparent that the influences of both members (90’s Alternative for Matt and 70’s Funk for Jackson) would shine through in their original music. With the addition of drummer Aaron Hawley and bassist Chris Hammond, Willess was complete. After several live performances and many hours of painstaking writing sessions, the band took five of their first tracks into Reel 2 Reel Studios in Atlanta Georgia to record for the first time. With the help of producer Ross Childress, former guitarist for Atlanta-based rockers Collective Soul, Willess released their first EP, Young Hopes and Old Memories. Though the response to this first EP was strong from local listeners in the Augusta area, the lineup would soon change, with Chris leaving to pursue other things. After months of searching, Willess brought on bassist Jeffrey Peplinski (known to the band and fans alike as “El Jefe”) who began writing with them on their next few songs. On Friday, September 13th, Willess released its new single: A Little Closer.Willess music is available on all streaming websites including Spotify, iTunes, YouTube, Etc.
