If you have a fetish for g-house — you’ll go absolutely crazy for the latest from BIJOU. The producer’s menacing sound is more powerful, more ferocious than ever as heard with “Young & Reckless” featuring Way.
Just a few kicks in and BIJOU will have you hooked with this thrilling concoction laced with dark tones and upbeat house flavors. Driving the track forward with a vibe you don’t want to mess with, the banger reminisces on an authentic past.
“‘Young & Reckless’ for me really takes me back to when I was younger and really was this way,” BIJOU explains.
He also weighs in on the show stopping vocal performance backing the new single. It’s funny how collaborations like this just tend to work out.
“The vocal with Way came about from a long time relationship his manager and I have had that actually started out with me buying shoes from him at Finish Line. Fast forward to today and we have worked on numerous tracks together now, with this one being hands down the best in our humble opinions.”

We are sharing our recent interview with Robert Garcia, known in the musical sphere as Way.
Twist Online: First of all please introduce yourself to our readers.
Way: What’s good readers, my name is Way. I’m the oldest child to a very confusing blended family. I grew up in a mixture of good and bad, constantly bouncing back and forth from family member to family member, from the hood to the suburbs, from poverty to prosperity, and everything else in between. I’m a 100 percenter for three reasons: I go either all in or all out, I likely do things as close to perfection as possible, and I have a 100 percent hand in all my own music. I’m a lover not a fighter but I’m also a protector so I’ll fight for the ones I love. I’m a former fat boy who still knows how to eat like I did 80 pounds ago. I love comedy, because laughing is the best way to ease the pain that comes with life, and one day I want to pursue comedy after I make a name as one of the greatest artists of a generation.
Twist Online: Who or what inspired you to get into music industry?
Way: Kanye West, my pops, and my childhood. I never really talk about it that much, but I dealt with abuse, family addiction, loneliness, and depression. It got to a certain point where I felt emotionally numb. When College Dropout came out, the day after my 11th birthday, I heard the whole the from front to back. As far as I can remember, it was the first time I felt inspired by something. I dealt with a lot more trials, tribulations, and trauma as time went on, and I felt hopeless until I heard Late Registration. Honestly, if he didn’t drop that album I don’t know where I would be, because at the point in my life I didn’t care if I lived or died. If we’re keeping it real, that album highkey saved my life. Fast forward to the Graduation album, which came out during my first semester of high school. By then I was rapping for fun with some friends, but I didn’t still had no idea what I wanted to do with my life. That album, along with encouragement from my pops and his help getting me the cracked version of FL Studio 5, and my desire to want to impact and save lives through music, all contributed me to take the leap and become a music artist.
Twist Online : Tell us about your recent release “FOMB”?
Way: It’s a hot record in my opinion, and not because I made it. I remember when I met up with Trinidad Cardona and our agent Christian Phyfier, and we were just vibing to some beats I was working on. This one beat I had just made the night before came on, and it caught their attention. I started thinking about what we could talk about on the record, and I came up with “You lame ass n****, you fake ass n*****, the f*** out my business..”. And the energy in the room was so turnt, that we knocked out the song that day. It was a great day to say the least.
Twist Online: What kind of response have you received from the release?
Way: All of my fans love the record, they say it’s one of their favorites! And its been putting up some streaming numbers too, especially on Spotify.
Twist Online: What’s your favorite music genre?
Way: My favorite genre of music is Hip-hop hands down, because it saved my life. Most people who don’t like Hip-hop attribute it to violence, drugs, and murder. To me it was a positive outlet that helped me say no to the gang life, drugs, my pride, and ultimately my demise. I appreciate all genres of music, but if I could only listen to one for the rest of my life it’s Hip-hop all the way.
Twist Online: What’s the best part of being a music artist?
Way: The best part of being a music artist is when someone goes out of their way to let me know that one of my songs helped them get through something they’re going through. It’s when I’m performing and I see big smiles and wide eyes, and the crowd rocks with me. It’s also when I start on a song and it feels like all the stars aligned in that moment in time. And as I gain more and more fans, there are going to be so many more “best parts” to experience, and I’m excited to find out what they are.
Twist Online: Have you set some goals to achieve?
Way: Oh yeah definitely. For starters, I intend to perform at Coachella, and I will not stop ‘till I do or I’m dead. Another one of my goals is to work with Kanye West, J. Cole, and JID. Oh and of course a grammy. I gotta be apart of the grammy family.
Twist Online: Are you working on any new projects?
Way: I’m honestly working on new music all the time, I mean what passionate music artist isn’t? I have a joint that I plan on dropping soon called BGT, which stands for Bad Girl Tendencies. And mark my words: ITS A BOP. -
Phoenix, Arizona native BIJOU boosts the system on Dim Mak single "Young & Reckless." Bringing rapper Way along for the ride, the pair utilize heavy G-house sonics to create an anthem for late night abandon. -
Ghetto House use to be a very niche genre with a very small and loyal fan base but as the past year has shown us, this genre is one to watch for 2019. One of the artist paving the way for the bright future of this amazing genre would have to be Arizona based DJ/Producer BIJOU. His unique style has helped propel him into being one of the top artists in the G-House movement. His new track “Young and Reckless (feat. Way)” truly showcases his skills as a musical composer. Starting out with a pumping kick that slowly fades off into a lyrical section by Way, “Young and Reckless ” builds up into a hard hitting and fast paced G-House drop that is sure to get you up and moving. We caution you if you plan to listen to this song while driving it may cause you to drive and excessive speeds. We look forward to see what 2019 has in store BIJOU and always look forward to his new releases. -
The much anticipated partnership between Way and Trinidad is over! Well, kinda, they still need to release the song. The song was meant to be Way Featuring Trinidad, but after the track was complete it may just be released on Trinidad’s pending EP or BOTH, who knows! But it’s been confirmed by leaked videos on Christian Phyfier’s IG story that the track is Fire! -

Bio
It’s a special moment when one first immerses themselves into music; completely relishing in a myriad of melodies. Robert Garcia, known in the musical sphere as Way, was able to experience this at an age younger than most as he constantly surrounded himself with his father, a known Phoenix area DJ.
Intertwining his upbringing with major influences from Kanye West’s rolodex of hit musical compositions, Way took note as he himself became a lyrical force to be reckoned with.
As rapping became second nature, Way saw an opportune moment to traject himself over the competition - teaching himself music production, recording, mixing as well as mastering - a dangerous cocktail of skills admired by most.
Holding a strong proficiency in Hip Hop, Way takes his love and knowledge of urban music and mixes it with outside influences from R&B and electronic to craft unique genres - as heard recently in rapper Davonyea’s latest singles "Pringles" and “Generation Zan”, produced and mixed by Way himself. With a plethora of projects underway, expect an eclectic palette of tracks dropping within the next year.
