Wali Sultans’ Music comes from a perspective of Self-empowerment and realizing that every problem you face is another opportunity to overcome, and become more of a believer in your own self-worth.  “This can’t be truer for Wali Sultan, who has dealt with the harsh reality of life from a young age.” After losing both of his parents at a young age Wali leaned on his older siblings for support and encouragement.

Wali Sultans eldest brother Shaheed Lundy who is now deceased introduced him to music at a young age, “he always made me listen to lyrics, even as a young boy he made me listen and pay attention to the lyrics.” Shaheed’s biggest impression on Wali’s young music life was when he handed Wali a copy of Jay-Z’s first album Reasonable Doubt.  “Just the lyrics and the word play from bar to bar on that album, and how Jay-z put every song together! “Reasonable Doubt” is a Classic to me and a major reason I fell in love with Hip-Hop.”

Wali Sultan has been featured on the cover of Sports illustrated on Campus for his aspiration to be a music artist and a NFL athlete. “Music is like therapy for me, it’s a way to get out all of my deepest thoughts and frustrations.” Wali Sultan has also been featured in a National article in the Bleacher report, for his aspirations to break into the music industry after a brief stent in the NFL playing with the Houston Texans.

Overall Wali Sultan’s music is meant to turn a tragic story into a triumphant victory, After Listening to Wali’s music he hopes that the listener feels entitled to be or do whatever they set their mind to. Also to never let people decide what your life is supposed to be, if you have a passion then fight for it, fight for you right to be a FREE spirit and FREE mind!
