"All about this up and coming young band!"

URD-OM is a local band with an odd name but great jams. Most intriguing, this five-piece rock group is made up of performers aged 11-13. There are no adults up on stage with this quintet, which have been enjoying gigs all over Northern California this year. Take some time to learn more about these talented youngsters taking Sacramento by storm....
Who Are They?

URD-OM is made up of five young performers from Elk Grove. Current members include:

Drusila – Dru is a13-year-old girl who plays guitar, bass, ukulele and trombone. She’s passionate about metal music and also likes to pen her own scores. She is inspired by Paramore and the Beatles, as well as others in a wide range of music interests. She is endorsed by Daisy Rock Girl Guitars and heads up URD-OM.

Molly – Known by band members and fans simply as Mo, Molly is an 11-year-old who taught herself how to drum and sing. She has been playing since age eight and just started taking formal lessons for metal. Like her older sister Dru, she enjoys a wide variety of music and also enjoys acting, playing Minecraft and eating pizza.

Jenny – Also known as BOGO, she is 12 years old and has been playing piano for four years. She is classically trained, but also to perform rock songs. She plays volleyball, participates in plays and idolizes Billy Joel.

Paige – Lead singer Paige is 12 years old and has been singing for six years. She placed third in last year’s Teen Idol singing competition. She loves to write, listen to music and play sports.

Kyle – The lone male of the band, 13-year-old Kyle plays guitar and bass in the band. Outside of his love for music, he is a first-degree black belt.

About URD-OM

The name URD-OM was invented by sisters Drusila and Molly. Their nicknames, Dru and Mo, make up URD-OM when spelled backward. Certainly not the most creative or original idea for a band name, but considering the fact the bandmates are all in middle school, it’s actually quite cute and clever.
These two sisters dreamed of starting their own rock band when they were very young. They have been raised on a wide variety of music, and they both found an innate passion for metal rock. They decided to recruit three classmates and formed the band. Today they perform all over Northern California, with gigs ranging from private parties to larger venues like the California State Fair.

Their homespun songs and lyrics combined with a lineup of classic rock and punk covers have made them a likeable local band in Sacramento that many in the regional music industry are keeping an eye on. They also won awards both individually and collectively.
