THE RETURN OF THE BLACK AND GRAY GRENADE
Bang’em Entertainment is back from a long stint with their first release in 7 years. On May 10, 2010 they released recording artist/producer Unfufu’s first official single “You Ain’t Really Ready” from his upcoming debut album “Exit Murder”. A video for the single release was just shot by artist and director James Bailey and is now being service. The video can be seen http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ll05FaG2Mlc.
Bang’em Entertainment’s CEO and local rapper/producer Mr. Murder states, “I’m glad we are back and the dark days are behind us.”
Bang’em Entertainment started out locally in 1998 and in 12 years has released 3 full length albums and 2 singles. Even though that’s not much; being how long they have been in existence, but doing their laps of not releasing music they were collecting features from some major artist in the industry.
Ever since the labels successful debut of the compilation album “Bang’em Where We Hang’em it has been a leader in Jacksonville, Florida’s local underground rap scene. They went on to release one solo album from Mr. Murder, two singles from Unfufu and another compilation which ended a label battle in 2002 over rights to the name Bang’em. The 2002/2003 compilation Bang’em where We Hang’em and Slang’em (Millennium Style) sold 10,000 units locally its first week out, which landed them a regional distribution deal with now bankrupt Southwest Wholesale Distribution. The label later hooked up with then AWOL Cash Money Records, rapper Juvenile and his UTP Squad to record what should have been Unfufu’s breakout single but legal issues stopped the release of the record, halting the labels further success.
Unfufu’s comments, “Bang’em Entertainment and I were over ecstatic about that record at the time; but the past is the past, this is the new Bang’em Entertainment the future “You Ain’t Really Ready.

In 1993 Lil Unfufu won first prize at the same talent show winning a chance to be on BET'S teen summit, but a drug arrest and conviction sidelined his oppurtunity. However, he continued to write and rap in juvenile detention eventually, after meeting local producer Dru, he decided to do a 3 song demo that never made it out of the studio because he was arrested and sentenced again for drug dealing.
