"Unflesh is the best new technical melodic death metal I’ve heard in some time"
"Beyond the obvious comparison to Arsis, Savior is infused with a Revocation-like tech-thrash vibe and energy, some Obscura and Necrophagist influence, and rounded out by a ton of blackened Dissection and Emperor influence. The end result is blackened technical melodic death that's quite versatile."
-Austin Weber - Metal Injection
“Think Arsis meets Dissection” — with reminders of “Necrophagist, AngelCorpse, Obscura, Revocation, and Emperor“. When I saw that list of names in the PR recommendations for the debut album by Boston-based Unflesh, it took little else to kindle the fires of intrigue, though the album artwork by Junki Sakuraba certainly added a spark as well."
-Claret Ash - No Clean Singing
"The musical style on this record embodies the aura of black metal wickedness, while infusing technical death metal ferocity and rich, complex melodies in a way that transcend the confinements of a single sub-genre."
-Steve Savage - Metal Nexus
"The scary part of Unflesh is I don’t think Savior is their best work……they’re still very young and have lots of time ahead of them. Unflesh can do even better and that’s bad news for the rest of the metal world to keep up with such a potent band."
"Maybe the world has found another great tech band to replace the Necrophagist void"
"Unflesh is one of a small group of technical/progressive bands that is helping push the boundaries of the genre and not trying to fit in."
-TECHMUSICREVIEW - TECHMUSICREVIEW
"A dark, aggressive and extremely technical opus of Blackened and Melodic Death Metal by a four-headed American beast, sounding as pulverizing as extreme music can be."
"The monstrous beast known as Unflesh is more menacing, violent and cohesive than ever, and I’m sure not only the band’s talented originator is happy with the devastating potential of his infernal spawn, but also anyone else who loves the perfect fusion of aggressiveness, feeling and technique in extreme music."
-Gustavo Scuderi - The Headbanging Moose
