Bio
Joe Glaser is a performing musician, songwriter, and composer; a lead vocalist, guitarist, and pianist. He writes across a variety of genres ranging from mellow acoustic songs and electronic/ambient music to heavy alternative.
Sharing a birthday with both Stephen King and H.G. Wells, and with a background in creative writing, some of Glaser’s best work lies within his musical storytelling. Tales of maritime ghosts and evil homemade friends keep listeners turning the musical page.
Noticeable musical influences include Gary Numan, Wall of Voodoo, Jan Hammer, Bjork, Muse, NIN, and Warren Zevon.
Currently a member of the band No Sorrow, he has previously fronted the bands Subliminal, Sub Mus, Standard Chaos, Sidetracked, McCormick's Reaper and HYDRASHOCK.
Over the course of 2010 HYDRASHOCK opened for Days of the New, Sponge, and Taproot.
In August of 2011, Joe won 96 Rock in Cincinnati's "Back In Black" sing-off and went on to Indianapolis to compete against two winners from their local rock radio station. All three entrants got to sing "Back In Black" by AC/DC on stage with Muse during their soundcheck. Joe won and received an autographed guitar from the band after meeting them backstage.
