Twist Online : What’s your favorite music genre?
Tommy Francisco : My taste in music varies so much based on my emotions/mood so I couldnt say I have just one favorite genre. Sometimes it can be rock for months at a time or even reggae. Sometimes it can be classical, for it’s purity. Maybe Techno/house for the excitement and thrill. Country for love, heartbreak, storytelling, and goofy essence or Alternative, r&b, pop, hip hop, I could go on and on.
Twist Online : Have you set some target to achieve as a music artist?
Tommy Francisco : I don’t have a specific target. I am wanting to create great music and touch as many lives as possible.
Twist Online : Are you currently working on any other project?

The down tempo boldness of this track is configured with precision and truly demonstrates Francisco’s unique ability to consolidate the composition into a full-fledged story where each conceptualization runs through one another with a sense of seamless fluidity. There is a passionate fortitude that is both gentle and assertive in relation to the components within the composition. The third world vivid instrumentation sets the undertone of the entire track and provides an arpeggiated execution of intricate soundscapes encapsulated with pristine production. Likewise, this dynamic musicianship builds as the track duration matures into an assortment of impressive faculties consolidated into a uniform, timeless piece of music. The smooth R&B subtleties differentiate themselves from other genres as there is a sense of genuineness that cannot simply be categorized or reduced to a distinct genre – This further displays his professional status as a pioneering musician in despairing artisan times. The emotive fluctuation of energy provides a variable unpredictability that is uncommon in today’s music and is reinforced with a sense of novelty that music heads will appreciate. Francisco’s melodic vocals transcend a divine reality and serves as another instrument within the collective mix in the song. The power embedded within the vocal harmonies resonate towards an authentic source of musical innovation that can be applied to all groups of music without missing a beat. The production quality gives the single a sense of fullness with detailed arrangements that display his transient ability as a cutting-edge songwriter. The song was carefully thought out and the amount of passion put into the song surfaces through the harmony itself without the bells and whistles that other artists tend to hide behind. There is an element of realness when an artist emits vulnerability on a personal track that really resonates with music heads on a collective level – This should be both appreciated and respected. - Artist Rack
Tommy Francisco is a passionate pop and soul singer-songwriter, dynamic and talented enough to tackle a crossover genre and style marked by some of the greatest singers in recorded music history. Born and raised in Austin, Texas, he has overcome a slew of trials and tribulations on his journey of becoming a recording artist. At the age of 3, Tommy’s biological father was murdered which left him to be raised by his then, single mother. During that time, Tommy had a keen interest in music. Though he received a football scholarship, he ultimately turned it down to pursue his true passion, music.
“Best Thing” produced by Mantra, is Tommy’s 3rd single release. Tommy Francisco’s soulful voice, impressive vocal range, and ability to mesmerize his listener and take them on his journey, make his latest offering everything you could have hoped for!
Many of the pillars of Mantra’s production stands as far more than just a testament to the singer. Instrumentally, it has depth and nuance, each instrument individually interesting but collectively grander than their parts. It is its own tapestry, not simply a canvas justifying a singer showcase.
“Best Thing” is much more than a singer showcase, and Tommy Francisco’s soaring voice fits inside it like a glove, as the singer slickly weaves in and out of his falsetto, making a great impact on the listener. In relation to his previous releases, Tommy now sings from a stronger, more assured position, which is reflected in the music.
The single evidences the singer’s growing confidence, his voice distinctive and powerful enough to command the spotlight in every bar, without the need to turn toward overdone vocal pyrotechnics.
The boldest example of his vocal strength can be heard as he exquisitely draws out the notes of the pre-chorus and chorus, extending them in a way that other singers would have done through technological tricks or outright showmanship. Tommy’s delicately swooping vocal twists make his singing seem even more poignant. The track brings emotion and powerful passion that is guaranteed to make anyone who listens, feel every lyric.
“Best Thing” sees Tommy Francisco contemplating a situation of unrequited love: “On the couch when I watch her sleep. Here with her is enough for me. Gave her love but she’s wanting more. And when she wakes I know she’s gonna leave.”
This is a very relatable track, and it’s delicate in the way that it sounds as though Tommy is singing right into your ear. “Best Thing” goes a step further than its predecessors in establishing Tommy Francisco’s talents as a singer and songwriter.
And though all excellent, his mature performance here is leagues ahead of what he was doing previously. In essence, the track feels ways more cathartic and personal compared to anything else he has done. And this is when he sounds at his best! - Tuned Loud
Forced to grow up in a single parent home, Tommy’s years consisted of the daily grind of survival in East Austin, TX’s highest crime ridden area, low-income living, and plenty of temptations of the darker lifestyle. His mother enlightened him early in his childhood to creatively express himself through the arts and gave him a foundation of spiritually in a higher power. This move created an escape route for Tommy rather than just becoming another product of his environment as the majority of kids from his neighborhood.
Some of Tommy’s influences include Sade, Bill Withers, Santana, Pharrell, Garth Brooks, Coldplay, Tank, Al Green, Michael McDonald, Bob Marley, the Beatles, Kenneth “BabyFace” Edmonds, Prince and Lenny Kravitz. - Singersroom (Elle Breezy)
The brief but perfectly representative description offered as to the depth and meaning of this song is matched quite flawlessly by the simple yet beautiful ambiance and expression that pour out as the single plays.
Silence, by Tommy Francisco, is a blissfully organic and emotional piece of music and writing – poetically and thoughtfully written, composed in a manner that consistently reflects the current sentiment or idea touched upon lyrically, and always over-flowing with genuine passion as the vocalist presents each and every moment of melody.
The song’s subject matter is something that is increasingly important, particularly in an age when it seems as if we are more connected, more instantly available to others than ever, yet there is undoubtedly a lack of genuine communication in so many situations – and the results can be devastating. Silence offers a heartfelt insight into this issue, from the deeply personal perspective of an artist who is all too familiar with it.
Musically the track is beautiful, beginning with the simplicity of a riff, a mellow beat, and a smooth and mesmerizing leading vocal performance. It soon unfolds to reveal something of an R&B or soul-pop sound, reminiscent in a way of bands and artists from the late nineties – the free-flowing, effortless vocal style, the calmness soaked in feeling. As leading vocals go, the sound is undeniably pure and real – the song comes from a place of experience and consideration, and this you can tell.
The riffs and various moments of repetition all make for a memorable and enjoyable listening experience; the mix has been brilliantly crafted, the structure of the song highlights the quiet and the loud with equal brightness, and the lyrics take something that is loaded with sadness and regret and undeniable humanity, and they share it with the audience in a completely relevant and accessible way. It’s a beautiful song, and an important, refreshing topic to underline. - StereoStickman (Rebecca Cullen)
