Tin Tuxedo

Vocalist Amy Hancock has been performing in the jazz scene since 2005. Often compared to Diana Krall and Julie London, her smokey alto has accompanied players such as Joe Cea, Bill Stevens and Bob French and the Original Tuxedo Jazz Band at The New Orleans Jazz Festival. 

Rick Wolff is a seasoned, solid bassist who spent most of his musical career gracing the stages of Minneapolis alongside other greats. Now based in Raleigh, he is in demand as an active participant in making the music scene more vibrant by promoting his skills with many other dedicated musical groups including The Moonlighters Orchestra.

With a master's degree in music and an uncanny connection to musical thought, Court Stewart is a rare accompanist any vocalist would wish for. An intuitive improviser, he is constantly rewriting the language of jazz through his keys.  He also teaches piano, tunes pianos and plays for select local groups.

Matt Murphy is a newcomer to the East Coast and brings a fresh vibe to every performance. A Colorado native, he has toured nearly every state in the US with vocal and instrumental bands. A sought-after teacher of multiple instruments, his melodic multi-percussive style grooves at any speed and flavor.

Known for his amazing improv skills, trombonist Weldon Kollock rounds out the quintet. Having played up and down the east coast earlier in his career, he makes his musical home in Raleigh sharing the stage with such notables as Jo Gore, Bill Stevens, and now Tin Tuxedo.
