The Sun Goes Nova

For The Future is an Independent Alternative Rock band based out of Central New Hampshire. Started at the end of 2014 after the dissolution of the band East is East, the remaining members Abe Hughes (guitar), Alex Vaughn (Drums) and Andy Mallett, (Vocals/Bass) went on to make a new sound for themselves. The new sound was built around the idea of "bigger" and not "Heavier", moving away from the power chords and high gain distortion of East is East, and leaning toward cleaner sounds, with more complex chord formations and sonic ambiance. Their influences drew from new wave bands like "The Police", "The Talking Heads" and newer bands including, "Minus the Bear." After developing their sound, they added two new members, Jess Vaughn, (formerly the lead singer of the hard rock band, "A Simple Complex"), and Derek Brewer, (Guitarist for the band "Cool Ya Jets"). After incorporating the new members For the Future has gone on to create a demo, (titled "First Steps"), which will be available at their upcoming shows in 2015.
