The Roils

The Roils were founded on shaking off the dust of stereotypical band image and cliche and muddying up the waters of the scene in 2012. The Roils sound is and has changed a lot since the start, and there is a conscious, unflinching effort to make sure it always will. It lives and breaths as blues-centered rock with alternative-Americana and alt-country leanings. Proudly providing something for all walks of life, some songs are boisterous and hard-driving machismo manifestos; others are melodic and soulful introspection of our love and fears.

The Roils feature singer-songwriter Kevin Hamric's artful storytelling and catchy riff-and-run rhythm guitar, Chris Baker's soul-bending lead guitar and bass work, and Leo Schlosnagle's mindful and meticulous drum beats. 

Whether headlining shows at 123 Pleasant Street in their hometown of Morgantown, WV, playing nice with the other talent at past festivals or in support of nationally touring acts (Dangermuffin; Funktapuss), or hitting the road and turning heads in places like Charleston (WV), Frostburg (MD), Athens (OH), and Pittsburgh, The Roils guarantee that lovers of live music will go home with a story to tell.
