The Fury MCs are a hip-hop duo coming out of VA, and they’re not strangers to achieving their goals by any means necessary. Here’s what they had to say about their latest song, “Let’s Get It”:
“Let’s get it” is a motivational anthem created to inspire determination and perseverance to achieve ones goals. The phrase “aye bruh, let’s get it” is repeated methodically throughout the chorus to invoke a sense of urgency in the listener. Both verses are melodic cliff notes on the duos perspective of grinding, using personal examples, and cautioning the audience of the perils omnipresent when trying to succeed. - DC Mumbo Sauce
Virginia duo The Fury MCs hit my inbox with this tasty jam. Set up over a pretty booming instrumental, we're given some pretty motivational vibes. A chant-heavy track (the chorus lends itself well to that with its "aye bruh, let's get it" call-and-response), "Let's Get It" is aimed to, as the duo states, "invoke a sense of urgency [to inspire determination] in the listener." Rap duo reminiscent of Outkast, representing Virginia. With powerful lyrics, versatile deliveries, and a polished, yet raw sound, The Fury MCs have built a strong following throughout the DMV and continue to build that fanbase with each new city they travel to. So far, the group has released two projects, "Furious Vol. 2" and "Too Up Too Down" in 2015 and 2016, respectively and their most recent single "Let's Get It" was released September 2017.
