This newly-formed trio of talented musicians is a breath of fresh air! Their debut album "We'll Get By" is a blend of all things Americana: Soul,R&B, Adult Contemporary, Blues and Folk. Splashed with just the right amount of attitude, The Wide Open builds on their 3 part harmonies with an infectious sound that will leave you asking "How can 3 people sound like a 6-piece band?" Simple, they feature some awesome harmonica work,banjo,ukulele, and i would swear I heard a washboard in there somewhere! I was already familiar with the ultra-talented Season Ammons, and she has never sounded better than on this CD! A little flirty, a little bawdy and a whole lot of passion define her strong vocals that weave seamlessly with bandmates and top-notch musicians Allen Rayfield and Traylin Gastone. The Wide Open has no musical boundaries and seamlessly moves from one genre to the next blending soulful, blues-infused vocals, swampy harmonica riffs and well-crafted lyrics with R&B grooves. The Wide Open includes singer/songwriter Allen Rayfield, with his award winning harmonica sound, along with award winning female vocalist and singer/songwriter Season Ammons. Traylin Gastone and Scott Rockwood round out the ensemble with bass, percussion and back up vocals. The Wide Open is tight group with a full and infectious sound that is a must see experience!
