The Sky Colony is an Indie Rock band born and raised in the Skagit Valley: the northwest of the Pacific Northwest. Their songs combine complex harmonies and meaningful lyrics with intricate guitar picking and rhythms. The musicians love their environment and community, and it shows. Time upon time the music has been deemed unique, “a sound of luminous spirituality that sets a fire in the mind.” (Scot Casey, What’s Up Magazine.) Kyle Findley-Meier (lead vocals and rhythm guitar) and Ben Meyer (lead guitar and vocals) started working together in 2012, developing their unique sound and building a repertoire of songs. Today they are joined by Jeff Lacy (drums) and Marcus Nevitt (lap steel, keyboard and vocals).Their first full length album, “In a Dream” was released in February 2015. They performed more than 50 shows in 2017 and are expecting to release digital singles on Spotify and their second full length album in 2018.
