The Moxy are a six piece electronica rock band from West Chester, Pennsylvania, the band combine all the energy and excitement from punk with that of the electro-dance scene combining an upbeat and very energetic sound. The band are currently signed to ‘Filthy Note Records’ (Bam Margera’s record label) their latest single off the self titled EP ‘The Moxy,’ ‘Step Down’ has recently been featured on the latest film by Bam Margera – ‘Where The Fuck Is Santa’.
Songs featured on the EP is as follows:
Lately: Is the first song off the EP, full of lots of emotion and energy, it starts with a distorted voice then kicks into a really enjoyable, powerful song about heartbreak and how this person wants to know why they split up for this other person who seams, as the lyrics show that this person is nothing special. The song is possibly the weakest off the EP, laying off the synth type effect and leaving it just to the guitars to bring the beat, which seams to lower the vibe off the song, but still a track worth listening to.
Step down: Is the latest single to be released from the band. The song brings a high level of energy which builds and builds more as the song progresses, lead singer Greta’s strong vocals really works well with the band belting out some amazing notes with velocity. The song talks about heartbreak and how hard it is to cope with that kind of a situation with some very catchy lyrics such as: ‘I'm sick of being left here all alone, I follow you, but its not that simple. I turn around, and you're gone.’ Containing a really amazing atmosphere to the overall feel of the song, this is one not to be missed.
This Is The Day: A high impacted, energetic and fun loving song, packed full of catchy lyrics. The song gives off the impression it’s about doubt within a relationship and now this person has left, they are doing better than they have ever done before and now boasting about it, really giving a powerful yet very enjoyable drive to the song.
Turn It Off: Kicks off at a really heavy pace, ultimately showing us who these guys really are, then moving into some really amazing and high endurance song. Lead singer nailing the vocals at the exact level of pitch and volume to perform the right harmonics to this amazing and well written song.
Panic Room: The song kicks off really fast paced bringing a very powerful and errie sound, telling the story of how a person has been trapped in a relationship, getting cut off from the rest of the world by an obsessed person and trying to find a way out. It truely is a fantasic song to end off a really great EP, full of so much power and emotion really showing us they mean buisness.
If you’re looking for a fresh upcoming band with lots of energy and enthusiasm within their music then The Moxy are the ones for you! Packing their music with roar power, energy, emotion and fun within their music this band are sure to become one of the best bands to come out of 2009.

Bio
The Moxy has cultivated a sound unlike any other. With a mix of rock, post-hardcore, electronic, and indie-acoustic, this live band has had a colorful history. They are best known for their performance in Bam Margera's (from MTV's Jackass) Warner Bros. Movie, "Where The #$&% Is Santa?", and has shared the stage with such bands as Young The Giant, The Sounds, CKY, INNERPARTYSYSTEM, Terrible Things
(featuring Fred Mascherino of Taking Back Sunday), and Kill Hannah.
After a 3 year hiatus, The Moxy is working on a new album (song previews on SoundCloud) and they have evolved their post hardcore 80's
dance rock sound just as life evolves. Everything grows and
changes...and so has "The Moxy Sound".
