The Kenzie Kincaid Band

Seeing the Richmond, Virginia-based Kenzie Kincaid Band live is like pulling a stool up to the bar and chatting with old friends.  You may have to hear about Kenzie’s latest dog crush, Boz’s most recent drum kit additions and Chris’s homemade guitar. Perhaps you’ll get an earful about Jeb’s chickens and Peyton’s love of sports, but it will all be worth it when they gather on stage and play you some country tunes.
 
“Country is our primary focus, but being from different backgrounds like we are really widens our pool of songs — from Lynyrd Skynyrd to Lady Antebellum, with the occasional 80s or pop hit thrown in to satisfy our taste for variety,” said lead singer Kenzie Kincaid.
 
Kincaid is newer to the music scene and excited to be working with a group of well-seasoned musicians. Each band member brings their unique talents and broad experiences to this venture. Guitarists, Chris White and Peyton Dowdy, as well as bassist, Jeb Bach, have played in local hard rock/metal bands for a combined 30 plus years before turning to the country scene. Drummer, Justin Boswell, has done a little of both genres' — toured the East Coast with a hard rock band and played CMA Fest two years in a row.
 
So, what happens when you combine decades of musical experience and put it on stage with a fresh, new country singer? You get energetic, rock-infused country and a sound that’s easy to enjoy. All four of the band members join Kenzie on vocals to create striking harmonies and natural between-the-songs banter.
