“Elder local statesman of folk rock and Tre Amici favorite John Clark is joined by his full band (lead guitarist Christian Ystrom, drummer Bill LaGrandier and bass player Jason Hawks) at this release party. The foursome plays a new eponymous EP in its entirety, including slide-drenched Southern rock odes like “Hairless Monkey” and “Dark Natured,” Clark’s rusted tin vocals carrying overtop. Also with: The Laurentians and Dumb Blind Luck — Leilani Polk”
— Leilani Polk, Creative Loafing Tampa - Creative Loafing Tampa
"Delivering progressive folk-rock that falls somewhere in between Tom Petty and The Decemberists, the socially conscious members of The John Clark Band play with passion, soul and long, untamed locks."
— Tyler Killette, The Crow's Nest - The CrowsNest USF St. Petersburg
"Q fraz & Naj of Artist Block. I believe they channel Janice Joplin and out comes the most listenable song and poetry. I just love it."
— New Seeds Southeastern Women's Festival - Silver Glass Productions
"John Clark has written an anthem for our times. It's as passionate, soulful and bold as ever an anthem was written. The further fact that the writer is so humble a person is all the evidence you need that 'faith is in the work!'" ~ Michelle Shocked "
- Michelle Shocked, Regarding, "Hope In Hard Times" (Jan 18, 2011) - Michelle Shocked
