Bio
The JLF Trio was founded in April 2017 in New York. The trio is comprised by virtuoso Dominican guitarist, Javier Rosario, Venezuelan drummer, Fabio Rojas and Korean bassist, Chaeheung Lim. JLF stands for Javier, Lim and Fabio. The trio performs original compositions by the guitarist and drummer.
Their first recording session happened in April 24th of 2017 in Long Island, New York. After the band played some of Javier's compositions for the first time, it was very clear that it was a project that would last a whole life time. The name of the first released material was a composition by Javier Rosario entitled Passing Through. The video is available on YouTube. Their first public performance was at Cafe R in Manhattan, New York on August 21st of 2017. The audience's response to the performance inspired the member of the trio to take their music to all possible stages of the world.
JLF Trio its planning it's national and international tour for this year 2018. It has already been performing around New York City. Part of the motives of the tours is the recording of their debut album that is to be recorded soon in New York City.
One of the things that characterizes this trio is that it combines the tradition with modern sounds, expanding and striving to keep innovating the art form of jazz while celebrating diversity.
