Bio

At a high school in a small New Jersey town, Noah Sullivan and Rob Lenza met and immediately connected over interests in punk and alternative music, as well as guitar. The two often discussed ideas for bands or projects, but none really saw the light of day. They wanted to build off of some of their favorite bands like Underoath, Silverstein, Say Anything, and others in the emo/post-hardcore genres, but were never quite able to form a full band. Then, in 2016, they began to send each other strings of lyrics and phrases for the other to build upon. After constructing various questionable DIY recording rigs in Noah’s bedroom, the two began to demo their ideas and construct them into full songs. As they began to invest in better studio equipment bit by bit, they worked vigorously at developing their skills as guitarists and vocalists, and discovering their sound as a band. The two aimed to combine nice melodies, powerful belted vocals, and emotional guitar riffs with frantic screams, heavy chugs, and fast paced a sound they felt was lacking in the emo genre. They recruited good friend Danny Murray on drums, and audio engineer Alex Restucci to mix/master the songs. Fast forward countless bedroom recording sessions, and those text conversations became the Subdivided EP in August 2017. The local reception of their debut immediately motivated the band to keep growing. They immediately began recording their next record, not wanting to lose any of their momentum and drive. The group was hyper-focused on amping up their complexity and musicianship while staying true to their sound. After multiple months of recording and nearing the end of the album process, they realized that without a full group of dedicated members, they were only a project. This led them to add Evan Quigley as lead guitarist and Joe Esposito on bass. Noah now fronting on lead vocals, the group found their framework and are releasing new music. Their single, "Complacent" reached 13,000 listens within only two weeks of its release. The self-titled album, "The Gettysburg Address" is available in February 2018.
