The Dye Sound

The Dye is a unique blend of cutting edge 21st-century alternative rock/indie music and sophisticated songwriting pleasurable for audiences of all ages. We’re proud to say
we have a very wide age range of people coming to our shows who enjoy the musicality and originality of our compositions. We capture the essence of many of the great bands and artists of the twentieth century such as David Bowie, Pink Floyd, The Cure, and Jefferson Airplane while writing original songs with their own personality and soul. Both the ex-manager of The Rolling Stones and Elton John’s publicist have enjoyed and praised our music. Earl McGrath the manager of the Stones from 1980-84 was a fan of “31 Horses” one of The Dye’s early recordings from our own studio. McGrath loved Bruno’s deep dark voice and the powerful magic of the tune filled with fire and hypnotic atmospheres. The Dye’s new EP was presented to Patti Mostyn ex publicist of Elton John. She praised Eudora’s voice as being haunting, rich and sensual and said that she hasn’t heard such an original new band in a while. She thinks the success of The Dye will depend on successful management and marketing. I think the fact that we can attract wide audiences in terms of age and nationalities (as we have many European people coming to our shows) is a good sign that we’re ready to be exposed to great audiences in vast numbers around the world with the support of playing in European and international festivals such as Iceland Airwaves.
> The Dye is comprised of four alumni from the prestigious Berklee Colege Music coming from Mexico, U.S.A, and England. The main songwriting team and leaders of the band are Eudora Ellis and Bruno Arredondo. We take pride in supporting women in music through a newly launched company “Fierce Femme Music”. Our initial fest will include three other bands in New York that are female-fronted.
The Dye’s song “Tantric Pace” was chosen as the number one song in May 2019 at America’s National Radio show Bob Cesca’s Indie Music Countdown.
We performed our first big show at Garcia’s at The Capitol Theater in Port Chester New York. Many legendary artists such as Pink Floyd graced the stage of this theater. In addition, we’ve been playing consistently for three years in all the major iconic live rock venues in NYC as well as summertime festivals. It’s a pleasure to expand after playing the most legendary venues of The New York City scene such as Mercury Lounge and Bowery Electric for the last three years. This is the time for The Dye to climb to the next step of the pyramid. The Dye released their new EP “Poem of Ride” on the 18th of May to a sold-out house at The Bitter End. It was mastered by Grammy Engineer Joe LaPorta who also worked o David Bowie’s epic final album “Blackstar”. The leading single “Dance Away” is a sparkling version of the deepest Dye. We’re also far advanced in the process of mixing an 11 track album entitled “Painting the New Night” produced by Grammy award engineer/producer Damon Whittemore who recorded Sir Paul McCartney at Carnegie Hall. The Dye is ready to be shown to the world!
