The Control Room Band

The Control Room is an indie alternative band hailing from Toronto area.  Four experienced multi instrumentalists who enjoy both the live music scene as well as pouring over small details in the studio.  Their music has been evolving in 2015 to a new level of complexity.  
 
By mid-2014, the Toronto music scene had come knocking and The Control Room began securing bigger gigs- The Horseshoe Tavern. The Rivoli. Lee’s Palace; Iconic Toronto venues that have hosted bands from the Rolling Stones to Nirvana.  Public appearances on The Humble and Fred Radio Show on Sirius XM and the TV show “Toronto Sessions” were among the bands other highlights from 2014.  Feedback from the performance was so positive that Rogers executives selected the band’s debut single “Another Day” as the theme song for their Greater Toronto Hockey League weekly broadcast. An acoustic performance at Indie week in late 2014 cemented their spot as a local draw. The Control Room have been invited back by the venues they play time and again.
 
The band has gotten off to a great start in 2015, having been selected by Toronto radio station 94.9 the ROCK as a ‘Generation Next’ artist.  Singles “Another Day” and “Speed of Sound” have received radio play, exposing audiences in a major North American radio market to their music for the first time.  New doors continue to open for the band as they just played their biggest show ever. Part of a Generation Next line up, they lit it up at The Phoenix Concert Theatre in April.


Moving in to rotation with Y108's Indie Show, The Control Room continue to get more mainstream radio attention.

The venues keep getting bigger. The fan base, stronger. On stage, The Control Room have an infectious energy and support for their music continues to grow.
