The Appropriation Committee

The Appropriation Committee is a modern version of the jam band that focuses on groove while incorporating a wide range of diverse styles including fusion , jazz, rock, hip hop , world , and jam. There's something for every kind of listener and an committee show. Every show that The Appropriation Committee does is completely unique. That's because there are no setlists. There are no songs. Everything is completely improvised in front of the live audience. The band, formed in 2019, features some of the Lehigh Valley's finest players including Sean Cavanaugh on bass, Chris Cummings on drums, Dan DeChellis on keyboards , and guitarist Rick DelNero . Together this group has a combined total of over 4,000 gigs under their belts; not to mention countless recordings and sessions on records of all styles with musicians from all parts of the world. The band's debut recording, An Improvised Life , got international airplay via internet and traditional radio. Parts of the record were even used as music beds for programming on the local NPR affiliate, WDIY . The group is currently recording its follow-up album to be titled There Are No Words.
