Toronto, ON based musician/composer/producer known as Tennyson King has released his self-titled EP and it features five great songs, that I feel highly confident in recommending to you.
“You and Me” starts the release off with a relaxing vibe, which I am a big fan of. Tennyson King’s vocals are calming and inviting. The EP continues to impress as it plays on. “On The Line” is the third song, and would have to be the standout, at least in my mind. I can’t get enough of this track, which is about “choosing to live your life in a way where you’re putting everything on the line.”
“Barry’s Bay” is the other song that really spoke to me, which is said to be an ode to the small town on the edge of Algonquin Park. I found myself singing along with this song almost immediately, and feel that fans of most genres would find themselves enjoying this track.
Although this EP leaves you wanting more, it’s a great introduction to Tennyson King, and I can say that I thoroughly enjoyed the five songs featured on the release.
Rating: 4.5/5 - Canadian Beats
With his roots in the land of Mississauga, the Toronto rock and roll artist TENNYSON KING creates intriguing masterpieces that have stratified, lush landscapes and 1970s psychedelic rock sensibility, all shining with modernity.
He is now announcing a new video ( directed by Toronto’s Lubormir Arsov — The Peanuts Movie, Ice Age 5 ) for his track titled You and Me.
We had a listen:
This number is smooth and quiet and mutters softly with a wistful longing.
A certain amount of emotional turmoil is hinted at — the agitation is barely palpable — but above all, there is a sense of inner calm.
Streamlets of wonderful vibrations fill the palette, while petite movements establish the rhythms.
The tones & shadows, the light and shade… are glimpsed through a forest of sound…
Meanwhile, a delicate voice curls up and nestles in the woodpile.
This is dew eyed, trusting and innocent. - Raw Ramp
"Great arrangements and very thoughtful music. There is a very straight ahead, forthright quality to his song writing - which is lovely" - CBC
“Tennyson King delivers gentle rolling rhythms, that also manage to feel crisp and sharp. Is it the breath of fresh Toronto air that adds an edge? I’m not sure – but it’s definitely cool!” - Australian Broadcasting Corporation
