Bio
Switch Mob is America's band - a melting pot of musicians (Hispanic, Black, female, suburban male, LGBTQ) who have created a special sound. Think '90s Soul meets Black Eyed Peas meets 2019. Switch Mob’s eclectic sound combines ‘60s Funk, old school Jazz, ‘90s Hip-Hop, and a tinge of ‘00s Emo to create one of the most unique sounds in music. Formed in 2016 by a group of college students studying music in New Jersey, Switch Mob has evolved into one of the most diverse bands in the Greater New York area. Their first single, “Connect The Dots,” is pure Pop/R&B confection, led by lead singers Sara Ray Schulmann and Chris Herrera and featuring a rap interlude by bandleader/keyboard player Tima. Switch Mob recently released their second single, "Rain," and are anticipating the release of their third single “Here I Go” on May 6th. Switch Mob has played a large range of shows since forming in 2016, from iconic venues like The Stony Pony and The Gramercy Theatre, to large universities like Temple and Seton Hall, to festivals such as Maplewoodstock in Maplewood, NJ. Most notably, Switch Mob was selected as one of the live performers for the 2019 & 2020 DreamWalk Fashion Show, an annual event celebrating diversity and inclusivity. Vibe with us.
"THANK YOU and the extremely talented Switch Mob. They killed it. My only regret was not having them play later in the day. However, what a great way to open the festival." Tom Kerns, Maplewoodstock (Maplewood, NJ)
"People are coming in off the street to see them!" Brian Alvarado, Heady Productions (Glens Falls, NY)
"Band was great. Want you here often." Kyle Brendle, The Stone Pony (Asbury Park, NJ)
"I saw you guys last night for the first time in Glens Falls. I was completely blown away by your talent. Thank you for coming up here to play. It was truly a pleasure." Wyatt Edwards, Concertgoer at GEM Fest (Glens Falls, NY)
