Bio
Amelia Romano, electric lever harpist, and Misha Khalikulov, cellist, began collaborating in November 2011, forming the StringQuake duo. Percussionist, Josh Mellinger joined in 2013.
This electric trio fuses instruments and musical styles from around the globe with original compositions emphasizing improvisation, and unusual scales and rhythms.
StringQuake draws inspiration from the music traditions of the Americas, Greece, Africa, India, and European classical, and the musical masters who have emerged from every corner of the globe.
