Carving out a path in the space between bands like Cream and The White Stripes, Stovepipes put forth a sound hearkening back to their predecessors while pushing into a realm definitively their own. Based in arctic tundra that is Fargo-Moorhead, the four-piece consisting of Alex Phelps (vocals), Mckay Galbrecht (lead guitar), Cody Kostka (bass), and Jake "Noz" Nosal (drums) plays steadily across cities throughout the upper-upper-Midwest, building a network of supporters along the way.
Growing significantly since the release of their four song demo in 2017, the band is eager to unveil thier forthcoming EP, Sparkle & Shine, recorded at The Terrarium in Minneapolis, MN. Highlighted by tracks like the bluesy-rocker "Medicine Man" and the soul-tinged "My Name", the album is due out November 2018.
