Named after a long-gone gas station chain, Sohio is a fairly new five-piece with a warm and rich sound that combines their intriguing base of influences (ranging from Elliott Smith and The Strokes to Ryan Adams and Jack Johnson). The group maintains a cool dynamic by allowing different members to take over lead vocals at various times and the band's live shows have been winning over new fans at every gig.

Bio
"It’s a rare band that can direct traffic at the intersection of Americana, Rock both rootsy and garagey, Blues, Punk, Pop and Country without having an eight-genre pile-up. SOHIO is that rare band, deftly balancing the noise that rattles rafters and the subtlety that breaks hearts. " - Brian Baker, CityBeat MPMF12
"SOHIO’s new CD is done and it sounds great. They have expanded their songwriting and musical chops since 2006’s “Money and Love” CD. These guys can write hooks and they manage to weave them into pop songs, ballads and rockers with ease. Some of the songs were recorded on location at their band compound, in the rural farmland outside of Hamilton, OH." - John Curley of The Afghan Whigs
