Bio
Drawing from a massive range of influences, SLC Special make a unique style of rock that covers a lot of ground. Never willing to put themselves in a box, they often fluctuate from a destructive and energetic persona to a dreamy, wavy, ethereal sound. Coming from backgrounds in metal, hip-hop, drum & bass, and progressive rock, SLC Special's sound can most easily be described as progressive stoner rock. Soundalikes include Tool, Queens of the Stone Age, Slint, and Akimbo. The band's biggest influences include Massive Attack, Meshuggah, Clams Casino, Deftones, Gojira, Andrew Bird, and Chief Keef.
