Side B Vibe is a funk/soul/R&B/acid jazz/disco cover band, emphasizing the B sides and slick tunes you know and love with just the right amount of hits in the mix!
Side B Vibe’s members are amongst the top musicians in Toronto. With strong roots in jazz, funk, neo-soul and R&B, our musicians create an incredibly funky groove lead by soulful vocalist, Mandi Galer. Most often booked as a 5 or 6 piece party band, Side B Vibe also performs as solo, duo, trio, quartet or 7-12 piece band with additional horn players and vocalists. Side B Vibe covers an array of repertoire (including jazz/motown/easy listening/soul/funk/disco/R&B/current dance) enabling them to play numerous venues from weddings to private parties, corporate functions to local nightlife.
In addition to performing covers, you’ll find Side B Vibe mixing it up with some groovy original material written by Mandi Galer to be released on her upcoming album. With strong influences including Stevie Wonder, Jamiroquai, Jill Scott, Brand New Heavies in addition to motown and jazz roots Mandi’s original material is a throwback to acid jazz and R&B.
