Bio
What’s worse than one frontman? Two frontmen, drenched in silver and gold garments, wailing about heartbreak and riding the wave of a power trip that doesn’t exist yet. Dry, satirical videos and flashy photos littering the band’s Instagram feed leads one to question whether Tommy Gold and Johnny Silver are out of their minds or simply making mockery of the image-driven industry whilst using themselves as the catalysts. It’s hard to tell due to their astounding reluctance to break character. Dubbing themselves "America’s Least Favorite Duo," Sick Ride is coming in to 2019 red-hot and overly-prepared for conflict. March 29 marks the launch of Sick Ride’s hardly anticipated debut record “A Kiss Goodbye," an exposed and filthy letter expressing the band's deep love-affair with Rock N Roll. Dirty bass, primal drums and harmonious dual vocals saturated with power and overdrive join forces over the span of ten songs to deliver a sense of pride and determination sure to unsettle any sheepish music elitist. Each song is drastically different ranging from sassy rock n' clap and 50s doo-wop to anthemic chants and epic ballads. Despite the wide range of songwriting, there is a clear movement throughout the record due to the unique instrumentation and production really binding the whole piece together. It’s certainly going to be interesting trip witnessing this border-line art-rock experiment grow and evolve. The group encourages anyone to “hop on in” for a guaranteed Sick Ride. The pair clearly aren’t out to please anyone but themselves and culminate this idea through a love=hate and hate=love philosophy. So, do you love to hate them? Do you hate to love them? You decide.
