Bio
After years of being a sideman for other bands and musicians, Shawn Zapata decided it was time to step up, move forward and break away from it all. With years of experience touring and performing at music festivals ranging from The Bite of Portland, to Electro-Industrial music festivals, to The Montreux Jazz Festival, North Sea Jazz Festival, and Recording for Cleopatra Records and BMG Music(Sony), it was time.
In 2016 with a handful of songs, he recruited Billboard and international recording Artist for Blanco Y Negro Records, Julia Schlippert on Vocals and Keyboards. Drummer Joe Evers (Pacific Wonderland), who has opened for such acts as Built to spill and SteppenWolf. Bassist Andy Grover, former band mate with Cement Season, was an obvious choice for holding down the low end. And Guitarist Mark Lagasse (Electric Mind control Workshop, Metolius, Bad Trees , Strange Cousins) complimenting everything with great sensibility,was an immediate no-brainer to add to the line up .
This quintet infuses elements of Rock,Pop, R&B, and Blues into their sound that will leave the listener with something to swim in for days. The Band is currently finishing up its soon to be released debut EP.
