As far back as Shane Hall can remember there was always music around him. The North County-based singer, songwriter, guitarist and bandleader speaks fondly of growing up in a house in central Pennsylvania where there was always music happening. But having a family that performs and being inspired to play and sing himself was just the tip of the iceberg for Hall . . . - Echo and Buzz
The faded, "greenish" colored Brixton fedora that sits atop Shane Hall's head used to be brown. The musician has grown accustomed to wearing a variety of headgear after having shaved his hair one day in his early 20s and saw that it wasn't growing back. But it's the fedora that most of his fans know him by - that and what he calls his "thick" sounding music . . . - The Coast News
What makes it all work are Hall’s voice and songwriting. He has managed to carve out a sound that doesn’t really sound like any other band or artist out there, and his expressive vocal on “Can’t Hear You Talkin’” trumps artists like Lenny Kravitz who have tried the post-Hendrix power-blues format and fallen short: Hall not only plays the ballsy blues guitar, but has the vox to match as well . . . - San Diego Troubador
