Bio
Shamah Shakur, born March 1990, is the new reality of Hip-Hop. With music always being a major influence on him at a young age, and being raised by a single-parent mother, he never missed not ever meeting his biological Father. His father-less reality of what he never knew was missing, was gone, and in its place was Hip-Hop. At the age of thirteen; he started a three-person group called Cameron Ave from middle school thru High School. As the main rapper in a trio, his lyrical skill, drive, and passion for uplifting predominantly females with his lyrics, immediately created an unexpected high volume of loyal female fans. Now, a College graduate of Winston Salem State University, with a degree in English, and a 3.87 GPA, his listenership has expanded to College student demographics, ranging from 16-40. He has homed, and crafted his stage presence to include performing at NC A&T, and Winston Salem State University's highly celebrated, and anticipated Home Comings. He also regularly performs in local clubs, Southern tours, and festivals to include SXSW. His recent works include, a 2013 released Single titled "One More Song" featuring Def Jam Recordings artist August Alsina. Honorable mentions of his music include, several College Newspapers labeling him as "The Next Career Artist". When he's not focusing on his passion of delivering immutable music, he teaches High School English, and mentors local youth on the importance of defining goals, and dedicating yourself to them.
