I had the privilege of witnessing the debut performance of Seven Mile Lane, last night @ Eastside Bar & Grill. Every Now & then, an original band gets “on my radar” and resonates with me sonically, lyrically, and energetically, leaving me eager to hear more & experience another live performance as soon as possible. Seven Mile Lane easily hits all points of interest for me and falls deeply into the aforementioned criteria. I am very excited about Seven Mile Lane, but not surprised because some ten years ago, I had an experience that rendered a similar feeling about Dry County Crooks, the frontman of Seven Mile Lane, Evan Vinny Dickinson’s former musical project. Of course, there ARE some sonic and stylistic similarities…however, the musical connection and language that is shared between the members of Seven Mile Lane ; Evan Vinny Dickinson Lead Vocals & Guitar , Ted Morrison Bass Guitar & Vocals, Jesse Ruggles Lead Guitarist EXTRAORDINAIRE, and Arjay Flaherty On Drums, is undeniable and the sound is fresh and inspiring, delivering the audience an exciting blend of Punk Rock & Rock-a-Billy and So Much More (as if I would prefer to categorize - Brian Burdette

Bio
Salem’s super-veterans team up with a new band, SEVEN MILE LANE. This Rock and Roll quartet delivers what at times is reminiscent of working-man’s late 70’s rock, but throw in vocals not unlike The Clash front man Joe Strummer on their tune “Shake and Shiver.” You want to hear an all-star line-up of Rock, Dirty Blues and shades of classic Punk thrown in for good measure? Start watching out for dates and be prepared to witness members of CATHOLIC SCHOOL GIRLS, DRY COUNTY CROOKS, FRANCIS FARMER GALS and the likes of PHAMOUS PHACES get the job done right!
Some members of this band have gone non-stop gigging together since ’92. Their influences are not only Rock and Punk like Ramones, The Who, Pixies and Black Sabbath, but Rockabilly and hints of Country—which gives clubs and promoters something new and fresh to get excited about. "Tomorrow Never Comes" is an instant hit, the short but sweet tune connects rich punchy-rhythms with melodic vocals. With Rockabilly/Bluesy guitar riffs, heavy bass and hard hitting punk beats...this is in no time at all, a fan favorite. Keep an eye out for these guys because their Rock-Billy-Pop is bound to hit your town soon.
