"...James Mullen says the award-winning group’s newest release 'represents the process of coming face to face with the adversity we all go through when exploring personal trauma.' He continues, 'It’s about looking inward, coming to terms with the things you need to change about yourself and also the unhealthy patterns in our relationships with ourselves as well as the people around us.'" - Sabrina Trueheart - Mirth Films
"Combining elements of acoustic, heartland rock with an edgier, harder electric guitar playing style – all while being glued together by bass and drums – the instrumentation crafted by the band allows the vocals to fit nicely into the mix... newcomers to the group will get a chance to hear a writing style that was only strengthened with this new release." - Lucas Garrett - Nippertown
"These winners of NYS Music’s March Madness earlier this year created their EP to feature a total of five tracks which showcase the band’s growth in production and lyricism since their founding in 2019... Together, the tracks give off a message and tone of eeriness, worldly unknowns that lay in the future, and memories and scars of the past that one wishes to be forgotten. This theme takes form in context of individuals’ relationships with each other as well as one’s toxic and increasingly complicated relationship with themselves. Every message is highlighted through the sound of hard rock, powerful vocals, and at times overbearing yet incredible instrumental backing." - Isabela Perez - New York State Music
Seize Atlantis! This Glens Falls local band with a grungey soft rock sound prevailed over Hudson Valley’s respectable rock outfit MAINLINE, and takes home the gold for NYS Music’s March Madness 2023. - New York State Music
"Keeping the energy alive, Seize Atlantis conquered their first performance of the year. Energetic from the downbeat, lead vocalist James Mullen covered every square inch of the stage. Not just a carefree and wild dancer, James dominated with his vocals. His wide range makes me jealous, and his vocal control seamlessly switching genres from pop to heavy rock is inspiring. This man was born to rock, and it was a privilege to witness him perform live. The drummer, Cody Platt, convinced me he put a hole in the drum set. Luc Bourgault on guitar, and Mike Dardas laying down the low end, joined in on James’ infectious and animated stage antics. Their first original song, “Paradise Lost,” put this on full display. Seize Atlantis is a must-watch live band as recorded music doesn’t do them justice. “Atlas Shrugged” changes up the style with an oldie’s throwback sound, and the band’s most energetic song “The Unstoppable Groove,” delivers on its name. I witnessed total strangers dancing with one another, forgetting all their troubles and giving in to this total vibe of a song." - Nippertown
GLENS FALLS – Released on February 18th, “The Unstoppable Groove,” serves as the latest stomper from the band Seize Atlantis. Featuring interlocked guitar and bass lines – a quality that lends itself well to the music of an almost anthemic nature – the song is really driving. The song kicks right off with a riff and doesn’t cease rocking until its conclusion. An alternative rock song with just a dash of blues, its accessibility to those that like those particular genres of music is certainly apparent. - Nippertown
