Bio
Scout Durwood is a Los Angeles based chanteuse and comedienne. Her whimsical musical comedy combines storytelling and song spreading joy wherever she and her ukulele may go. She is an acclaimed stand-up and cabaret performer, and was recently named one of The Huffington Post's 20 Burlesque Stars to Know, as well as Funny Not Sluttys 10 Women Who Rock Comedy and Stand Up Talks Five Awesome Womens Musical Comedy Acts. An active member of the LGBT community, her unique comic voice led her to star in Oxygen's "Funny Girls," showcasing six female comedians who are making waves in the male-dominated world of stand-up comedy. She is the author of three solo shows, including the one woman musical, "Hi, How Can I Help You?," which debuted in August 2010 at The Edinburgh Fringe Festival and was developed thanks to a grant from Brooklyn Arts Exchange. She is a Moth Story Slam Champion whose work has been featured on MTV, The Howard Stern Show and The Mindy Project.
